My daughter Lauren will do the pentathlon and high jump at the USATF JOs. She had the fastest time in hurdles in our region, but stumbled and touched the hurdle with her hands and got DQed. So no hurdles this time. Good luck to Brooke!
Yes I like that she will be able to compete against just girls her age and not a year older. She will compete in the 800M, 1500M and long jump. What events for your daughter? I see she is a great hurdler. What JOs are you going to?

2009 AAU Northern Indoor
The 2009 AAU Northern Indoor Track and Field Championship Meet took place over the weekend (Friday to Sunday) in Merrillville, Indiana. I brought my daughter Lauren to compete in the pentathlon and the individual competitions in high jump, long jump, and hurdles in the midget age group. We live in Washington state, and there no indoor meets for youth within driving distance for us. We flew into Chicago and drove just under an hour to Merrillville.
